To All The Dudes We've Loved Before.....

OK OK...So I'm no Julio Iglesias or Willie Nelson.  I AM one who loves the Dudes and I am one who knows a good thing when I smell it...erm...see it. :~)

A bunch of us Safies have been talking about the beer lately.  We love a good beer from time to time.  But not in the way one might think.  While most like to drink or cook with it we Safies like to soap with it.  Oh YES... we do!  And some even soap AND drink.  It's a most beautimous thing indeed.  When I grab the bottle opener and crack open the stout a wonderful chain of events begins to take place.

~The kids go running.....
~The animals hide....
~Dr John shakes his head and mutters "a shameful waste of a good beer" under his breath and walks off holding his nose.
It really is quite amusing to watch.  Into the pot it goes and off to simmer land.  MAN....does it smell bad!?  Open a window or three and let the fresh air in.  After half an hour or so it goes into the fridge.  Then we have the kiddos wanting to know what the phunk is in the fridge.  "Oh yeah....mom's making beer soap".

Once the beer soap is made, cut and curing we see Dr John or (insert significant others' name here) grabbing a bar or two and sniffing...."Mmmmm...Smells great, hon.  I think I'll take one to the shower with me".  And as I begin to float from all the bigheadedness I must remember....it takes a while for others to catch on.

Since I am not alone in my love of the beer I thought I would share with you a few  fantabulous beer soap listings from my SAFEteam family and hope you too will join the underground movement of beer soap lovers.

Colin
Anhoki's Place
Colin is a mess. With his dashing good looks, fiery red hair and gawgous green eyes he is a site to behold. Truly. One of the most romantic guys, in a guy's guy sort of way, that you will ever have the pleasure of...hmmmmmmmm......
ANYWAY... Colin is a pretty spiffy kind of guy. This is why I made a soap in his honor. The Colin SOAP is made with a very manly blend of patchouli, cedar wood and clove essential oils an oakmoss fragrance. OH...And it's BEER SOAP too! We make all of our beer soap with Guinness beer. Too bad we don't have a deal going with them. That would be awesome. Colin would definitely agree.

What better, Fantastic Beer Soap that also has Olive Oil, AND Shea Butter. Not to mention the Gorgeous scent of Green Tweed. OH YUM... This is the ultimate bar of soap, huge benefits from the beer in our usual olive oil and shea soap.
Can't go wrong with this one for sure.

SudsNSuch

This soap has been made using Sam Adams Octoberfest beer in place of water giving it a slightly sweet, nutty scent. No scent or color has been added.
This soap has been handmade using the cold process method of soapmaking. Each bar has cured for a minimum of 4 weeks.

Back by popular demand is another beer soap that will surely please all of your senses. The fragrance of this soap is sandalwood and vanilla, manly yes, but women like it too.
Pale Ale Beer Soap contains Palm Oil, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil and Castor Oil. A pale blond micro-brew beer was used, along with ground oats.
This has quickly become a favorite of all of the men in my life because, hey, who wouldn't like a nice beer in the shower! Just kidding! The lather is rich and dense while the aroma is captivating and fresh. Be sure to "wash responsibly".

NativeSproutSoap

A pale ale beer soap that smells like an evergreen forest. This bar is full of skin loving oils and has an incredible bubbly lather. Scented with cedarwood and fir needle pure essential oils, this is an ideal gift for the men in your life. This is an exciting new addition to our cold process soap line! Each bar is hand cut and weighs 3.5 oz/98 g.

Who would have thought that soap made with Guinness Stout could smell SO GOOD!!! Warm and very slightly sweet. This soap is my best seller at craft fairs.

The Stout replaces the water in this cold process soap and it is also made from good-for-your-skin olive oil, coconut oil to create a fluffy lather, and palm oil to create a hard bar. Shea butter has also been added for additional moisturizing. It has been made using the cold process method which makes an incredibly smooth texture.

After a hard days work in the hot sun, a cold beer is the best taste in the world, and when you wash up, the creamy lather of a beer soap is the perfect way to get clean. Made with Leinenkugel's Big Butt Doppelbock, no scent or color has been added to this soap. Hops and wheat gives this natural soap a faint nutty smell. This soap has been aged for months for a long lasting bar, and with a limited number of left, put away that lawnmower, set aside the beer, and get your soap before they are gone!

And one more from Anhoki..... just because.
Anhoki's Place

I always ask people what they think of when they think of Ireland. I get answers all over the board. Green grass, rock walls, the Blarney Stone, Guinness beer, friendship, music, leprechauns, soda bread.. you name it.
Irish Ale is a masculine blend of lemon verbena, iris & violets with bottom notes of Mysore sandalwood & amber. All of this and a beer soap too. What could be better?

As you can see the SAFEteam are extremely creative and VERY fond of beer.  Beer soap is wonderful.  Bubbles galore.  Nice hard bars.  Did I mention the beer?  If we haven't convinced you by now then you're just going to have to buy a bar or 8 and try them for yourself.

Remember.....SAFETEAM!

This is one soap I have yet to make! I think it would be fun to use the local brewery's soap and maybe sell it there too!
